PA Support Contract Tender for Croydon

Croydon Council and Croydon CCG are about to invite tenders for the provision of a Personal Assistant Support Service to the residents of Croydon.

Subject to further consultation the service could include:

a)     Supporting Croydon residents in recruiting PAs to assist them in their independence and personalisation of their health, care and support

b)    Developing a PA finder service for Croydon that will include accredited PA’s who have received training and had references and DBS checks.

c)     Supporting and maintaining Croydon’s PA Register – a web based portal for PAs to advertise their availability and for residents to recruit their PAs independently

d)    Supporting residents in retaining their PAs through being good employers

e)     Developing the capacity and capability of local PAs through the provision of training and other workforce developments and information through the PA Network

f)      Maximising local access to funds administered by Skills and Care UK for the development of PA skills

g)     Promoting Direct Payments and Personal Health Budgets as the first choice for accessing community based care and support and promoting Croydon’s online Direct Payments accounts systems.

Contract length

The contract will be let for two years with options to extend annually for up to a further two years.

Before going to tender the Council and CCG are interested in hearing the views of organisations who might be interesting in submitting a tender for such a service.

Interested organisations are therefore invited to attend a market consultation meeting to be held on the morning of 10 May 2019 at Croydon Town Hall.
